Please note that not all garlic produces bulbs that are similar in size....what may be classified as large for one certain variety may be small for another. While some growers claim "extra-large", or "select" sizes, at Granny's Garlic, we always ship only the best seed stock we produce.

Hardneck Varieties:

Italian Gourmet.....Our Finest Garlic

bulletThis porcelain hardneck beauty is quite likely the best garlic out there (at least we think so!)  It is hot....but not overpowering.  A real chef's delight!
bulletAn excellent garlic for raw eating and in pesto, salsa, etc.
bulletA superb garlic powder is obtained by grinding this garlic.
bulletIt produces about 6 large cloves per bulb. Easy to peel.

 

Polish Hardneck

bulletA porcelain variety with very large (6-8 cloves) per head.  Stores for 7-9 months, better than most hardneck varieties.
bulletIt's flavor is very strong...it sticks around for a long time for you to savor every bite! 

 

E-Z Peel

bulletThis is our 2nd most fabulous of all the garlic varieties, with 5-7 cloves per head.  
bulletIt has a more pleasant, lingering aftertaste.
bulletIt's flavor holds up well in cooking.

 

Siberian Marble

bulletThis stiff-neck variety has large heads with marbled skin.  6-8 cloves per head.
bulletIt's flavor is downright delightful, but not overpowering.

bulletThis variety is the best in keeping quality, with 11-12 plantable cloves per bulb.
bulletThis is a softneck garlic that is excellent for braiding. 
bulletRobust flavor but not overwhelming.

 

Oregon Blue

bulletAn excellent softneck producing large heads, full of flavor.
bulletGood size variety, and is a good keeper.
bulletIt matures here in mid season.
bulletAnother excellent braiding garlic.

bulletSoftneck variety, with large cloves.
bulletNice mild flavor.
bulletExcellent keeper.
bulletIdeal for braiding.

 

Silverwhite

bulletThis variety gets its name from the fact that it has a very bright, white wrapper.  
bulletThe cloves have some heat, but not enough to drown out the flavor!
bulletPink-tinged cloves and generous stalk make this a colorfully braiding garlic pleasing to the eye!
